THOUGHTS

Just when we took a breath after the end of May, June also carries a lot — Pride Month, Father’s Day, and graduation season all land within weeks of each other. It's a time when we celebrate identity, acknowledge those who’ve shaped us, and mark meaningful transitions. Underneath it all is a deeper thread: support — where we find it, how we offer it, and how we strengthen it in ourselves.

In our movement practice this month, we’re exploring that theme from the inside out. Starting Monday, our 12:30 PM Hybrid GYROTONIC® class focuses on floor work and deep core integration . We’ll prepare the body with the handle and hamstring series, exploring the upper body, abdominal, and floor sequences to build the kind of resilient support that doesn’t come from bracing or crunches, but from connecting deeply to your internal support systems.

And if you’re craving more of that connection off the equipment, our Saturday 9:00 AM Community GYROTONIC® class is here for you. It’s priced on a sliding scale and open to all — a place where showing up just as you are is more than enough.

Bring a friend this week — shared experiences are more than just fun; they’re a powerful way to strengthen your support system. A study published in Nature Communications found that doing meaningful activities together actually synchronizes brain activity in ways that deepen empathy, reinforce memory, and sustain social bonds over time.

The rhythms we build in class — breathing, spiraling, grounding — ripple outward into life life. Sometimes, simply moving together is one of the most enduring ways to stay connected.
